Trying to keep my sparkle…

shineonbaby

Kinky Poly has no idea how much she made my day awarding me the Shine On award! I’ve been having kind of a rough week, and after someone insulted my blog and writing skills, when I was making a comment elsewhere, I’ve been kind of reluctant to try and type. So thank you, thank you, for not only giving me an incentive to write something but making me feel better and reminding me that I do have a bunch of wonderful followers! The awards I’ve received say there are people out there who DO enjoy reading and I don’t want to let the haters bring me down!

Screw them all! Or rather, don’t, because they clearly have issues with a woman enjoying her sex life and writing about it, so screwing them is probably a bad idea, lol.

Anyhow, let me give you all an update of what is going on in my life, before I get to the questions, because it’s got me in a depressed kind of mood that may shine through in my writing. 😦 I’m also due for my period and that really tends to affect me emotionally. I swear sometimes I think I have PMDD (Pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder). It’s not so much irritability, though there is some of that, but falling into a depression each month. It’s to the point where I struggle to function normally and to keep suicidal thoughts out of my head. I know I’d never actually kill myself because of my kids but I just get to feeling so overwhelmed and hopeless that I don’t know what to do. It’s only once a month for a couple of days though, thankfully.

Hell, that’s something about me, so let’s consider it my first fact. Back to this past week. Well, I lost my Fuck Buddy. Totally unexpected but he got upset with me. He had wanted to see me one morning and when he texted I was really too exhausted to wake up and start getting ready. I’d been up all night the night before dealing with issues with my teenage son.

So that probably made him a little cranky with me to begin with. I had said maybe but ended up sleeping longer than planned and he had to go back to his town early. He asked for some pictures, since we weren’t meeting, and having not had a chance to get ready I asked if he wanted to see some of me with another guy. He said “sure” and I figured since our faces weren’t in it and he’s not emotionally attached AND he agreed to it, he would be okay with it all. Big mistake.

I sent him a couple pics. They are of me and the Producer but just show his cock going into my pussy, from behind, close up. I didn’t tell him WHO the pictures were of. Guys send me pics of themselves with women all the time, minus face, and often ask me for the same, so I’m thinking no big deal.

Well, he got PISSED because he saw the other guy wasn’t wearing a condom!! Sigh. HE wears one every single time and we’ve been fucking for over a year and he never asked me before if the other guys wear condoms or not. He was like, you are fucking raw now? I said not usually, but admitted I have and he said “well, I can’t fuck you. That’s a bit much”. I said the Professor never wore one with me and did he expect the married women he fucks with to wear condoms with their husbands and he said “no”. I was like well, I’m not sure how it affects you since you always wear one but okay, I guess I shouldn’t have sent the pics, have a nice life. Haven’t spoken with him since.

As if that wasn’t enough, I kind of cut things off completely with the Professor too. He came over here the other day, wanting to bring us some big floor pillow that he said he wasn’t using and he made me a drink and brought it with him. He’d been texting me pictures of this alcoholic beverage he was trying, called “Kinky”, and mixing it with Moscato. I was asking what it tasted like so he made me a cup.

We’d been being friendly but he hadn’t seemed interested in meeting up for anything more. He kept acting all depressed and sad and envious of the fact that I have been getting out and seeing guys. Yet, when I made a comment about him not seeming interested in hanging out with ME, he said “I am, but I don’t know if I can handle it” and commented that we argued “too much”.

So okay, I’m thinking then he must just want to be friends right? He keeps initiating text conversations with me and seeming to want to chat. When he was here I gave him a hug goodbye and said thanks for the stuff. He apologized for not having showered, so he wasn’t getting all fixed up for me or anything.

Anyhow, I’m starting to accept that he seems to want to be platonic friends and thinking okay, I can handle this. Then I sent him a Facebook request. We’ve never been Facebook friends before but we’d been talking a lot lately and I’d written something I kind of wanted him to read and see what he thought. It would have been too long to send over text.

He didn’t accept my request. He totally ignored it but kept on texting me. 5 days later I finally asked why? He made some remark about how he doesn’t like to have “Lifestyle friends” on there because of his job. I pointed out that he has that married woman on there and he says that he told her he would “probably take her off soon, for the same reason”. COME ON! Give me a fucking break!! That is utter bullshit. If he were going to take her off for that reason he’d have done it by now!!

I said “I doubt it” and his response was “That’s not true. I haven’t seen her since April”. Um, did I ask when he saw her?? WTF? I just ignored his texting after that and haven’t responded since.

I can’t think of any reason he wouldn’t want me on there that isn’t offensive, and made especially offensive by the fact that SHE is on there!! Just another reminder that he thinks she is somehow better and more valuable than me. What a fucktard.

Not that I care that much about having him on my Facebook page but it’s just the concept behind it all. Like what? Are you embarrassed of me? Do you think I’m trashy enough to go airing dirty laundry on Facebook when I get upset? Clearly, if you think that, you don’t know me very well. That’s SO insulting! UGH!

At least I’m seeing the Producer for lunch tomorrow. We probably won’t be having sex, just hanging out. He tried to talk me into a threesome with this 21 year old girl last night and I just wasn’t interested in going there, especially right now when I’m about to start my period and would be overemotional. Don’t want to risk flipping out or getting hurt feelings over something silly.

I told him all that too, lol. He also claims how bad she wants me and that she wanted to text me. I told him tell her she can send me an email or something, I don’t really like texting that much. Not to be offensive but texting with a 21 yr old girl sounds really annoying to me, lol.

It’s bad enough when it’s this 23 year old guy I slept with last year. He keeps trying to get me to see him again and I just felt so awkward, I don’t know if I can. He’s sooo cute, but it’s just too “cute” or something, like he has this baby face and he seems soo young. He’s also in a fraternity, lol. I am WAY too old to be fucking frat boys! Haha!

Oh and the Pilot still has not contacted me and never responded to my apology. He was, however, looking at my profile on the swinger site yesterday. Wonder why? I had unblocked him but he hasn’t unblocked me. Ah well.

I do have a guy I have been talking to that I really hope works out. He and I will be meeting in person soon but we’ve been mostly communicating over email. He’s from the swinger site and has over 100 positive validations from females. They make him sound like hot stuff and his pics aren’t half bad either!! 😉

Also, he’s fun over email and seems sweet and nice. He has been in an open relationship for over 9 years, with the mother of his child, so I’ve asked him a lot of questions about that and how he does it. He says he only plays with singles when travelling and that she does the same. They can play with couples close to home but she doesn’t do it nearly as often as he does. I guess when she does though it’s mostly single men. He goes out to dinner or dancing with other women but saves “romantic dinners” for her.

He’s the IT manager at a law firm. So, no idea what I will call him if we end up hitting it off, lol. He has also invited me to come along with him and some of his guy friends on a “guy’s weekend” that they are having. I’m thinking that kind of defeats the purpose of a weekend with the guys and asked if he meant for me to fuck them too. He said not necessarily. Hmmm. In any case, I told him I want to meet him first and make sure we even click and he said he agreed that was a good idea.

Okay, dangit, I am telling you all too much and haven’t even gotten to the rest of my facts. I’ll try and be concise ;).

2. I love avocadoes. I could eat them day and night, every day and be happy. Oh wait, that’s what I used to do when I lived in Hawaii. We had two avocado trees and ate them constantly. My dad would be all “we don’t need to buy groceries, just go eat an avocado” and suggesting things like avocado pancakes and avocado peanut butter sandwiches (!). Nevertheless, I NEVER got tired of eating them, lol. Give me some salt and lemon juice with it and I’m even more happy. On burgers, tacos, in salads, sandwiches, you name it! I love making homemade guacamole too.

3. Pineapples! I love them too!! Especially fresh but I’ll eat almost anything with pineapples in it. Chocolate covered, in smoothies, on ham, in some cake. Yeah baby! LOL I used to, when I wasn’t drinking alcohol, order a pineapple juice instead, every time we went to a restaurant. If they serve alcohol they almost always have it on hand, whether it’s listed on the menu or not.

4. My teenage son is driving me batshit crazy. I am so at my wits end with him!! I’m trying so hard to deal with everything he brings up but it’s something new EVERY FUCKING DAY. Some kid is claiming he stole their bike and I have parents yelling at me on almost the daily. Thing is, he has a very expensive BMX bike and I’m pretty darn sure he’s never stolen one!! Virtually every time it turns out to be this kid who is a “friend” of his and keeps putting the blame on him. The kid finally tried to take HIS bike and pulled a knife on him. I’m so fed up!

When it’s not that, someone is calling the cops because he and some kid he had spending the night are writing their names in lighter fluid in the road and setting them on fire (at 4am while I was fast asleep) or blowing up bike tires by over-pumping them and waking up the entire neighborhood.

He and a friend actually tried to hide in the trunk of my van when I was headed out to a date with the Producer. I got in the lobby of the hotel, where we were meeting before going out to get a drink and he calls me on the phone to ask what I am doing at a hotel. They thought they were hilarious. Sigh….

I don’t know. I used to be critical of parents whose kids were like this, back when I was working with them. I guess I’m getting a taste of my own medicine now. He’s just such a little imp!! I swear people used to tell me how well behaved he was when he was little, even though he’s always had boatloads of energy. He’s like 5 ADHD 2 year olds on speed, I’m not kidding. Somehow, for some reason, I ended up with this child. It must be paybacks for everything I’ve ever done in this life and maybe some others, lol. My others are little angels in comparison, that hardly ever misbehave. Thank God!!

5. I’m home alone today, just enjoying several hours all by myself, for the first time in a really long time! The Producer and I were going to meet but I guess he pulled out his hip or something and decided to wait to drive here until tomorrow. I was actually kind of relieved. Even if he is meeting up with that 21 year old instead, I am totally fine with that. I told him if he wanted to do that, when he first brought up the threesome, that he could just get together with her instead but he was insistent he’d rather be with me. I, on the other hand, just wasn’t feeling it and kind of wanted some alone time. So I guess it all worked out for the best.

I did some shopping and got myself a cute little sundress that I will probably wear when he and I go out for lunch tomorrow and made myself some dinner and am working on my blog. Oh, and I had a grand old time with my toy, all alone, and a fantastic orgasm ;). Not really in the mood to deal with men at the moment, which is unusual, since my sex drive tends to be very high, but I think I just needed a break.

6. I’ve been looking into some ways to make money writing and found some ideas that I think might work. Going to give it a shot anyhow. Nothing to do with this blog, since I don’t want to make you all view advertisements. You’d hate that right? I find pop ups and stuff when I’m trying to read someone’s stuff really frustrating.

I’d love to get paid for reviewing things or writing articles online. I enjoy writing and always thought it would be great to actually make something doing it. It’s just so hard to find legit opportunities. If it actually works out I will have to let you all know!

In the meantime, there’s always that Paypal Donate button!! (wink, wink) Psst…it’s at the top right of the page and I will always LOVE and appreciate your financial support! You know what they say, there’s no nation like a DOUGH-nation and no city like GENEROSITY!! 😉 😀

7. I love wearing skirts and sundresses in the summer. I wish I could dress like that all year. It’s just so summery and breezy and even more fun when you are on a date and forget your panties. 😉

I went out the other night with the Producer to this dinner theater and it was fun. I wore a short skirt and as he was dropping me off to go park the car I told him I wasn’t wearing any panties under it and you should have seen the look on his face! Haha

It was a cool theater too, where you could recline in your chair and they brought you alcoholic beverages and food. We went out to a bar afterwards and he was sliding his hand underneath my skirt, while we were sitting on barstools at the bar. Afterwards, was, what else, but fun sex?

He cornered me though, in the car, as we were driving back, to ask me to rate him on a scale of 1-10 again. Sigh. I think I said 8. I mean, it’s probably more like a 6.5-7 but I’m not trying to hurt his feelings. Then he demanded to know if I’d ever slept with a 10 before and I was honest and said yes (after he kept saying BE HONEST). He wanted to know why but how can I explain that to him?? I may have to write a blog post about that soon.

Gosh, I’m finished already? Kidding. I want to recommend to you some more awesome blogs I have found recently as well. So, to all of my fabulous rewardees, (that’s not really a word, is it? But you know what I mean) keep smilin, keep shinin, knowin you can always count on me….for sure…

Inspiration Station

inspiringblogaward

Being a Meyers Briggs type ENFP, is it any wonder that I keep getting nominated for the Inspiring Blogger Award? 😀 We are known as the “Inspirers” and sometimes called the “Champions” of the personality spectrum. It fits me to a T, because I LOVE to encourage, motivate, excite, and build people up! Making others feel good is definitely my forte and I especially enjoy it when it comes to my lovers! 😉

SeattlePolyChick
, who has been one of my favorite bloggers since I first discovered WordPress, has nominated me for the award this time. Her blog is always insightful and heartfelt, open and real. She is struggling right now, sort of like I was about 6 weeks ago with the Professor, so I appreciate the opportunity to give her some encouragement. Check out her blog, I promise you will love it!! It always inspires ME in my open relationship journey.

I’m also excited about the opportunity to introduce you to 15 more wonderful bloggers! Each time I receive an award I wonder if I am going to be able to come up with enough of them but I keep finding more and more that I know you will enjoy! This list is composed of people I have discovered fairly recently and they are ALL fabulous!

Firstly though, I will reveal 7 more facts about myself. Maybe I can inspire you to think outside the box and try something different. For those of you for whom this may be new, those are the rules of receiving the award: give 7 facts about yourself followed by nominating and linking 15 more deserving blogs. Oh yeah, and don’t forget to reference and link to the blog that nominated YOU (wink, wink). Okay, here goes….

1. I am a huge fan of homeschooling and homeschool my own children. Not to say it is never trying but I really ENJOY it. I love, love, love reading to my kids and opening their minds to great literature. There are always fears that I’ll mess up somehow and the kids will be screwed but I try and remember that while we may not be on par with the public school and don’t even follow a typical curriculum, they have a lot of benefits that public school children do not.

We have a very relaxed attitude towards schooling and focus first on lots and lots of reading, preferably of great books and not just mediocre ones. My philosophy, for those who are in the know, is sort of an eclectic mix of Charlotte Mason style and unschooling along with workbooks for certain subjects, like math and grammar. We also utilize Sonlight books and book lists, minus the Christian aspect at this point.

2. I love to travel and wish I had the opportunity to do it more often. Right now, finances and children make it more difficult but it is my dream to someday visit many more places around the world. So far I’ve only been out of the U.S twice, to Israel and to Mexico (Cabo San Lucas area). I’ve been to more than half of the states within the U.S. but that is not enough! A girl can dream right? I’d love to go to Greece and also Australia, those are first on my wish list.

3. My first time on a surfboard I was a baby. My dad was taking me out on his as a toddler and surfing with me! So when I went back to live with him as a young teen, it came naturally. I mostly prefer to boogie board however. Too bad there is no beach where I live now! I love the feeling of riding a wave. Wheeee!

Only, I’m not so fond of getting banged up on the rocks. One Christmas morning, when the waves were about 8-10 feet tall, I was way out on my boogie board and caught a big wave to shore. It dragged me across about an inch of water over the reef that left me with razor like cuts all down my legs. Not fun! I’ve also got a scar on my knee from a surfing injury and once dislocated my shoulder out in the waves, but hey, I’m alive, haha.

4. I was a vegetarian for 5 years. It wasn’t really about saving the animals or any major political reason. I stopped eating meat when I lived with my father, because they didn’t and kept up my will power all through high school, until I was dating my ex –husband in college and we had dinner with his parents. They were really pushing me to enjoy the pot roast his mother had made and I didn’t want to hurt any feelings. Man, did it taste good that day too! Ha!

Because I was a vegetarian, and also liked to have a lot of sex, my friends (male and female) would sometimes tease me by singing that song about Mary Mo, she’s a vegetarian, she don’t like meat but she sure likes to bone! That’s not the only song I got teased with referring to sex, haha, there were a few, surprise, surprise!!

5. I once got busy in a Burger King bathroom! Okay, not really, it was Subway and I was dating a guy that worked there (we were 15 and 13 so this is acceptable, haha). We actually did it more than once, I’d come in for a visit and quickie. We also boned in the bathrooms in the lobby at a Holiday Inn, both the men’s and the women’s. There were times when people walked in and we had to be quiet and I was like standing on the toilet so no one could see my feet. I think I mentioned the porta potty incident… Ive done some sort of kinky masturbating in the showers at a camping spot on the beach before too, but no one was in there besides me. Oh and at the gym and another camping shower. I’m always fantasizing that some cleaning guy or someone will walk in. 😉

6. I LOVE dressing up and getting all dolled up with sexy lingerie, etc. I really haven’t had much opportunity to do so since my ex wasn’t really into it. Also, I am broke, haha, so can’t afford much but I do have some cute bra and panty sets and am thinking about ordering a bodystocking for my next party. It has a theme that would be fitting to wear one for and I’m looking forward to the chance to go all out. I was looking online at all the sexy outfits and costumes and totally just drooling, lol. Getting the chance to WEAR it somewhere would be so fun!! I love thigh highs too, and heels, all of it. Inwardly I’m a glamour girl. 😉

7. I’m NOT particularly flexible, lol, but I’m working on it. My pole dancing class helps some with that endeavor. Maybe I need to do Yoga or something too. One of the gals in my class does “hot yoga” where they turn the temperature up really high before doing various yoga poses and that sounds kind of interesting to try out.

When I got my massage the other day the woman kept referring to me as “athletic”. I’ve never really thought of it that way but I suppose I do have some pretty solid thighs, haha. I generally prefer fun dancing and running types of activities for working out. I’ve never been able to do a full split. This is why I hated ballet as a kid, and didn’t last very long.

Anyhow, enough of that, it’s time to discover a whole new world of blogs out there!! These are some of my newest finds and I know you will really enjoy them too!

Versatile? You better believe it!

Versatile Blogger Award

I love the Versatile Blog Award, because I think it really DOES describe me! I’m versatile in a lot of ways, in and out of the bedroom. 😉 This is my second time receiving this award and I am quite flattered!! 😀

A special thanks to Jack Joseph’s Mom for nominating me! I encourage you all to check out her blog. As someone who has suffered a rather traumatic miscarriage myself, I really feel for her. Even though I already had children, it affected me quite a bit. I passed my 8 week old baby/fetus onto the bathroom floor and wasn’t willing to let it go for a while, finally burying him/her in a little box in my yard. You could definitely see the features of my little developing baby, still inside the sac. I took pictures and everything.

To people who haven’t experienced something similar I’m sure it seems morbid, but that was all a part of processing the grief. I wanted to show everyone the baby and the pictures and not everyone wanted to see, which I understand, but to me it was important to acknowledge that my baby was real. I thank her for helping open people’s eyes and understanding.

On to the award! I again get to give 7 facts about myself and nominate 15 fellow bloggers! Woohoo!! In keeping with the spirit of versatility, I’m going to start out with some ways in which I fit the description.

1. From a very early age I was exposed to a lot of different people, cultures and ways of life. I was born in Hawaii, which is a melting pot in its own right, where people don’t wear shoes in the house and Polynesian and Asian traditions and languages mix in with a hodgepodge of others. Eventually we moved away and my mother married a man from South America, who barely spoke English. Of course, with him came his family and their traditions. So this little white girl had an Abuela and Abuelo and a zillion aunties, uncles and cousins. Later, my mother married a black man and I was immersed in a different subset of American culture. His family may have been less than thrilled that he was married to a white woman, but as for me, being a child, I was accepted and brought into the fold, again amongst a multitude of relatives. My mother’s mother is part Greek and my father was part Native American so add that to the mix and you can see how I grew to easily adapt.

2. Probably because of all this, I’ve always found it relatively easy to feel at home with different groups of people. In my teen years I could be found at all black parties (other than me of course) in the hood, or across town living it up with the rich white kids. The next day I might be running around with my Mexican girlfriends or drinking with the Natives. I could be seen with a group of friends with blue and green hair, mowhawks and various piercings, or with some sorority girls, depending on the day. During my married years I blended in with the conservative church folks and we lived surrounded by Amish. The only people I really seem to have a hard time relating to are redneck country people and hicks, lol. Not that I haven’t tried, it’s just the mindset seems harder to understand.

3. However, being the “white kid” growing up did have its disadvantages, lol. Occasionally it got me “drafted” into doing things my dumb ass should have said no to. As in “hey, Lovergirl, you’re white! Why don’t YOU return these stolen items to the store and get us some money! They’ll believe YOU!” Or “hey, let’s go to McDonald’s and Lovergirl can tell them they got our order wrong, so we all get free food!” I was a little too willing to go along with these schemes, lol, perhaps due to my overly kind, accommodating nature combined with lack of fear and faith in my ability to appear “innocent” but hey, most of the time it worked! It’s even been “here Lovergirl, hold my gun while I run into this gas station” and sweet talking teachers or the police. Yeah, I guess I’m blessed with a lot of pure luck too, lmao.

4. Speaking of stealing, I went through a phase as a teenager where I did some unsavory things, and that was one of them. I had a girlfriend who could walk into virtually any store and rob them blind. As far as I know she still does. My sister said awhile back that she asked her if she “needed anything” when she went shopping, lol.

From her, I learned some tricks. For one, she used to walk into a store, with no makeup on and just use whatever they had available to get ready to go out for the night. Like she’d be opening up eye shadows and mascara’s and lipstick, just putting it on there in the store, with no concern about whether or not she got caught. She’d finish with a spritz of perfume and off we’d go to a club or something, lol. SMH…..

I loved her to death but I even caught her stealing clothes from ME. Eyeroll…. Anyhow we used to walk into grocery stores and just walk out the door with 2 liters of pop, chips, whatever. One time another girlfriend and I filled an entire grocery cart, with things like pot pies and such and threw some empty boxes on top. Me, being the “white girl”, went up and sweetly asked the manager if it was okay for us to have these boxes and he said yes. So we took all of our loot and loaded up! Bad, bad!

5. Oh, that wasn’t the only thing. I worked in a donut shop and a savvy (this time white) girl taught me how to pretend I was ringing up a dozen and only charge for one donut, pocketing the rest of the money. I also handed out tons of free dozens to friends, rationalizing that they threw away so many anyway, that it wasn’t that big of a deal. It’s true that they trashed huge bagfuls of donuts at the end of every night and because of some stupid regulations couldn’t even donate them to homeless people, who would instead come digging in the trash can after hours. Oh, and the friend who showed me how to pilfer the money? She went on to become a teacher, then a scientist and now a lawyer…hmmm… I knew a preacher’s daughter too, in college, who would take stuff from Walmart all the time.

6. I also went through a “car-hopping”, as we used to call it, phase. We never stole much of any real value, but we did dress in dark clothes, tape our fingers and break into vehicles to see what we could find. Stupid, just stupid, lol, considering most of what we ended up with was spare change anyhow and at first we were actually dumb enough to use scotch tape. ::: slapping forehead :::

Thankfully I outgrew all of that. I think I’ve mentioned before that my mother never has. She is a total klepto. If that is a real disorder, then she has it. She even stole a freaking VACUUM CLEANER for my baby sister’s new apartment. How the hell, in this day and age do you get away with that? I don’t even want to know…

7. I feel like I need to redeem myself here, lest you lose all respect for me, haha. Really though, now that I’m all grown up I’m pretty straight and narrow. I try and avoid all illegal activity. My focus is on being a good mom and example.

I still enjoy talking to people from all walks of life and the accompanying diversity. So let me proceed with introducing you to some more of the many interesting blogs out there!!

versatileblogger11

Like a lady in the streets and a freak in the sheets, I am VERSATILE, baby!!  😉  I also like being put in a lot of different positions, so as big as it is, I guess this blog award really “fits”. LMAO  Okay, I’ll quit…

Thank you, thank you Mr. Smooth Reentry for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award!!  I feel like I’m on the red carpet these days, with award after award coming my way!!  MUAH!!!  Big kisses and a beauty queen wave to all of my fans!!  Haha

If you haven’t checked out his blog you need to take a peek!!  I always love the blogs out there that cover relationships from a man’s perspective and his is a great read!  He, like me, had a hiatus from dating for quite some time (his was 20 years) and now he’s back on the scene, ready for some new experiences!

Like every other blog award, this one has rules that are meant to be followed.  Thankfully, this is blogworld and you are free to twist and turn things a bit to fit your agenda.  Still, I’m going to color nicely inside the lines and be a good girl.  Don’t feel like you HAVE to if you are one of my recipients though!

Here is a list of the “official rules”.

• Thank the person who gave you this award.

• Include a link to their blog.

• Next, select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly.

• Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award

• Finally, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.

Alright so I’ll go a little bit backwards here and tell Mr. Smooth Reentry  (and the rest of you) my personal things first before sharing my award recipients.  (I know, living on the edge here)

  1. On the Myers-Briggs personality inventory I score as a hardcore ENFP.   For those who don’t know this indicates that I am extroverted (well, mildly so in my case, I do have a shy streak but it’s kind of typical for ENFP’s actually to have a slightly introverted side as well), intuitive (definitely), and look  at the world from an emotional (feeling) perspective in addition to being a “perceiver”.  For me maybe that just means I have a difficult time following the rules, yet here I am, ha!

  1. I have really strange dreams.  I’m not sure what it all means but on occasion they have come true, like in my post about The Ghosts of Guys in the Past.  Still, on any given night I have one weird dream after another.  Maybe it’s an indicator of all the things that are swimming around in my head, but when I say weird, I do mean weird!  Haha  Like I’ll have dreams about being with a group of scientists watching a giant pterodactyl flap around in a big hole in the ground or about a group of policeman setting my neighborhood on fire.  Recently, I had a dream I was a woman in Amish style dress, living long ago.

  1. I actually occasionally have terrifying nightmares where I wake up screaming.  They have lessened some over the years and are probably a result of trauma.  When I’ve been put under for surgery I would wake up in the middle, screaming and violent and try to fight off the doctors.  They said it was scary and they had to hold me down but I don’t remember any of it.  The guy who took my tonsils out said in 20 years he’d only seen one other person act that way under anesthesia and asked if I’d been abused.  Well, yeah…

  1. When I was 8 years old, I was sitting on the floor at my grandmother’s house playing with her Ouija board by myself and decided to do as she recommended and ask who I was speaking to. The board answered me “Amon”.  We looked it up in the dictionary afterwards and found that is “the Ancient Egyptian God of Life and Reproduction”. (Amon)  I also asked who I was going to marry and I SWEAR it gave me the exact first name of my ex- husband!! Of course I WANTED it to say the name of the guy I had a crush on at the time and it was close, but no dice!

  1. In keeping with my occult theme here, when I was a kid I was once running circles around and around the house and stopped on a chair in front of a mirror and saw what looked like a red light surrounding my head.  I freaked out and ran to my grandmother, who told me that was my “aura”.  (She was into that kind of thing, used to read the tarot and do white witchcraft).  From then on I would pay attention and sometimes see them around others.

At age 12, I was in a little curio shop in Kansas City with my mother and stepfather (who were looking at crystals) and there was a man in there with a black “aura” surrounding him.  He was trying to show me a shrunken head and I felt an urgent sense of panic and freaked out and ran out the door and down the street.  My stepfather made fun of me because he thought I was scared of the shrunken head.

A couple of weeks later this man was on the news because it was discovered he was sexually torturing and killing young men and burying them in his backyard. His name was Bob Berdella.  Here is a reference in case you’ve never heard of him. Bob Berdella

  1. Every single time my mom got pregnant (after having me of course) I had a dream about it and “knew” before she ever told me.  Not saying I have psychic powers haha, but sometimes I wonder if they couldn’t be developed.  My mom used to take classes with a woman who was a psychic that worked for the police finding missing children and stuff like that and I would come along and play with her kid (who was kind of weird but I hung out with him during the class).  I had a girl do a science experiment for a fair back in elementary school where she tested a whole bunch of kids on their psychic ability of being able to predict the cards she was going to pull up out of a deck and I was the one who scored the highest.  Damn, maybe I should try buying a lottery ticket someday after all….

  1. Now that I’ve presented myself as entirely psychotic, lol, I’ll tell you that I’m really pretty practical and realistic about most things.  I’ve never fallen for this “Y2K”, “Zombie Apocalypse”, the sky is falling and aliens are coming type stuff. Really, I’m not crazy, I swear…..Muahahahahaha…;)

Anyhow, now that you’ve learned EVEN MORE about me I will give you a list of 15 others you really want to get to know!!  You will love each of these blogs!  Most are ones I have discovered fairly recently and decided to follow.  You know if I find them interesting they’ve got to be good!! beautifulblogger

Yay!!! I’ve been nominated for another blog award, or as Joe over at MyJadedParts, who submitted my blog for the award, calls it, a “chain” award, haha. That’s okay, because I love the attention and love that my blog is being recognized. So excited to pass on some more chain mail, lol.

Anyhoo, here are the rules, which are very similar to the rules of the Liebster award I received, only there are less questions to answer so I’m gonna make this one a little more sexual and be like Joe over there exposing my 7 “freaky” facts. 😉

1) Post a photo of the Beautiful Blogger Award in your blog post (isn’t it lovely?)

2) Thank the person who nominated me for the award and provide a link to their blog: Thank you Joe!! You are awesome, Rainbow Brite fetish and all….

3) Share 7 facts about myself: okay, here goes!!

7 Freaky Facts about the Lovergirl you love and thought you knew 😉

1. I lost my virginity at the tender age of 13, to a 15 year old guy that I was dating, in a hotel room. It wasn’t OUR hotel room though. We broke into it with a stolen key and had sex on the bed, next to someone else’s luggage, in the hopes that they wouldn’t return before we were finished. Yeah, I got started with a BANG, lol…. Figures.

2. My first anal sex I was also 13 and in a public sauna that was next to the swimming pool of that same hotel. The only difference is that I didn’t LIKE the anal sex so much. We had never heard of lube and he just kind of rammed it in and I got dizzy and lightheaded and almost threw up, which was very similar to my second anal experience and why I’m really just not an “anal girl”. I know, I know, BORING, but hey, it’s a personal preference and just not my thing. I’m not against trying it again, with the right guy, but I really don’t care for the way it feels. A guy at my first swinger party tried to stick it in there too (without asking, as has been my experiences thus far) and got about halfway before I pushed him away. It didn’t feel good to me at all.

3. I was sleeping with multiple guys at once before polyamory was cool. I’d even say some of the activities I got involved with were typical of an adult swingers party. However, we were not adults. I also had a regular rotation of guys that I slept with without ever having to plan anything. People were just calling and showing up to fuck all the time. That was a part of my underground lifestyle back in high school. A lot of people would never have known, but of course I did have a reputation among the ones that did.

4. I’ve had sex in a lot of crazy places. This includes public bathrooms, outside in the woods and on the lake, in parking lots, in cars while others were driving, in ditches on the side of the road, outside my grandmother’s bedroom window doggystyle in the snow with a big coat on, threesomes on picnic tables at the park, at a public swimming pool we had snuck into at night, in a hot tub whilst chatting with an old man, blow jobs on the roof of a junior high school (school was not in session though) and at the lake while the guy was floating on a raft and probably a lot more that I am not thinking of off the top of my head. Maybe the worst was in a public porta potty at the lake. Thankfully it was a fairly new one and not too smelly and also the guy made SURE I didn’t have to touch anything. He was standing up and holding me so I wouldn’t have to get any germs, lol. We just couldn’t wait until later!!

5. I held a lot of shame in my mind over some of my sexual escapades in the past, including things like a couple of gangbangs (technically trains ran on me) that as an adult I can see I wasn’t solely responsible for (some of the guys were older, there were a lot more of them than me and I was scared, intimidated and said no at first but was too afraid not to cooperate) and from being one of those girls you hear about in rap songs who was doing the whole damn crew but now that I am older and in a place where I can have more control over things and better self- esteem I am getting over it and realizing I am not a bad person for ENJOYING sexual activity with whoever I CHOOSE to have it with. I’m fascinated that there are women in the swinger community who fantasize about the sort of thing I was subject to at a young age but I don’t think it’s for me at all.

6. My sexual number is not as high as it might sound! It is over 50 but actually the vast majority of people I have slept with were regular, repeat customers (no I’ve never been paid for sex). I was married pretty young and for the first 11 years did not cheat so that took out a huge chunk of possible sex partner number rack up, lol.

7. I have some fantasies that are still left unfulfilled. Among them are wanting to experience things like being tied up and blindfolded. Someday! Not really wanting serious BDSM or anything, but just a little bit, lol. I have a bit of a Daddy fetish too and really, really want a REAL over the knee type spanking but haven’t gotten that yet either. 😉

Now for the 7 blogs that I recommend you check out!! There are so many and I want to bring attention to some of the ones I didn’t get last time. Anyway, here are some great ones that you should take a look at!

DRUMROLL…. My First Blog Award!! :D

I am so excited!! My first ever blog award!! Thank you, http://seattlepolychick.com/ for nominating me!! 😀

My blog was started less than two months ago and I have been thrilled at the response level. I’m really happy that my writing has caught people’s attention and is being read by so many already. Seattlepolychick’s blog was one of the first ones I discovered on WordPress and I am especially honored that she found mine intriguing enough to mention! If you haven’t checked out her writing yet, please do. Her stories of everyday life as a polyamorous woman and her different lovers are fascinating and encouraging to me. 🙂

So here are the RULES of accepting the Liebster award, which I will try my best to follow,

* When one receives the award, one posts 11 random facts about oneself and answers the 11 questions asked by the person who nominated you.

*Pass the award onto 11 other blogs (while making sure one notifies the blogger that one nominated them!)

* One writes up 11 NEW questions directed towards YOUR nominees.

* One is not allowed to nominate the blog who nominated one’s own blog!

* One pastes the award picture into ones blog. (You can google the image, there are plenty of them!)

SO, without further ado…..

11 RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME

1. I learned to swim before I learned how to walk. I started taking swimming lessons with a world renowned swimming teacher who worked with babies when I was 4 months old. Swimming still seems almost more natural than walking to me! I am an excellent swimmer and once saved a drunken man who had tried to commit suicide by drowning himself. He had swum way out to the middle of the lake and was screaming for help now that he’d changed his mind. He was twice my size but I managed to pull him back to shore.

2. Of all of my siblings that have the same mother I am the only “white” child. My brothers and sisters are racially and ethnically mixed (some with Hispanic, some black, and my stepsiblings are black). I jokingly refer to myself as “the white sheep of the family”.

3. I was a precocious child and by the age of 4, thanks to my grandmother, I was reading at an adult level. Because of this I was put in the gifted program at school. I stayed for a few years but the teachers complained that I was lazy and not living up to my potential. Probably this had something to do with the abuse I endured at home and an inability to focus on schoolwork or do homework. Still, school was always easy for me and I got pretty good grades with very little effort, acing pretty much every test that was given to me and even winning some awards for my writing.

4. I once danced in a rap video. No really, lol. It was the lamest, worst “rapper” you ever heard and part of a just say NO to drugs campaign. My high school media/film class and the Black Student Union at school were asked to take part and they filmed two separate videos. The first one was using all black kids and the second one, they needed some white people. I guess I fit the bill, haha. So we had to dance to this horribly pathetic guy rapping and it was shown to thousands of schools across the country in an effort to discourage drug use. I was smoking pot back then too. Shhhhh….

5. I used to work in a home for boys with behavioral disorders and now I have one of my own. Oh, boy, is it a challenge and you’d think I would be prepared to deal with it but every day can be a struggle. I never dreamed I would be here because I thought being a good parent would ensure having well behaved kids. I’m sad to say it doesn’t always work out that way. This one is trying to prove me wrong every step of the way. I’m humbled for sure.

6. I love to cook! I really enjoy trying new recipes and improving on old ones. A few years ago I put together my very own cookbook filled with recipes I’ve found and loved and gathered favorites from friends and family. I made copies for all my close friends and families and gave them as Christmas presents, interspersed with scrapbook pages with pictures of my family and those included on my list. It was a lot of work but so worth it! I use my cookbook all the time. and get calls from others who are enjoying it as well.

7. I didn’t have a TV from the time I started college until about 8 months ago (approximately 17 years) and barely missed it at all. I’m not a big television watcher even now that we have one because I rarely have the time for it. Back in the day I mostly watched MTV and VH1 anyway, when they actually played music videos. It’s always been hard for me just to sit there and WATCH something for hours. I don’t even like long, involved movies.

8. In the rare event that I actually watch television (usually only when I’m working out), I generally pick things that are light and funny. My favorite TV shows are The New Adventures of Old Christine and Sex and the City.

9. I love music, love to sing and was in choir much of my life. I am a bit too shy for solos but I’ve also been in musicals such as Oliver and Bye Bye Birdie in the past and a handful of plays. I don’t know how to read music and have never learned to play an instrument, though I always wished I’d had the opportunity.

10. I was a cheerleader in junior high. I never really could get into being one of the snotty girls though. I’m way too sensitive for that and used to get called on to go talk to the one (slightly) overweight girl on the squad all the time when she got hurt feelings because I was apparently the only one capable of being nice to her.

11. I’ve never mowed a lawn before. Or changed a tire or done any of a myriad of “man jobs”, lol. I can be a little bit prissy about things like that. Don’t wanna mess up my hair/nails you know!

My ANSWERS to the questions asked of me:

1. What are you most proud of?

I’m proud of myself just for making it through life thus far without completely falling apart! I’ve been through a lot but I’m proud of my resilience and ability to bounce back without allowing things to affect me negatively.

2. Who inspires you?

I’m inspired by my grandmother. She too, has had an amazing and interesting, but often very challenging, life and is one of the most cheerful and happy seeming people I know. She also looks so young for her age. I hope to be the same way!

3. What is your favorite holiday?

Christmas!! I love it! I love the feeling of Christmas, the generosity of people during that season, seeing my children’s eyes light up on Christmas morning, singing Christmas carols, all of it. 🙂 I refuse to let the materialism of the season get me down and prefer to see all the positives.

4. Who are some of your favorite authors?

Oh man. This should be easy because I love to read and love books but it’s just too hard to pick! Plus I haven’t been able to sit down and read much for MYSELF in ages! Mostly I am reading children’s books and classics with my kids. I’ve read a lot of books and a lot of really great authors but to even try to remember who my favorites are is just overwhelming.

I’ve read a lot of classic literature but I am just going to leave you with a couple books that I have read recently instead. They are of a more practical variety.

One is a must read for every woman, especially those who have been in an abusive or difficult relationship. It’s called Why Does He Do That? Inside the Minds of Angry and Controlling Men, by Lundy Bancroft. I went through that book with a highlighter and found my ex-husband, over and over and over again, which kind of surprised me because he had seemed so passive. It was really eye opening.

The other book is the one I am reading right now but still haven’t gotten a chance to finish. It’s called The Ethical Slut, A Guide to Infinite Sexual Possibilities, by Dossie Easton and Catherine A. Liszt.

5. why do you write a blog?

I’ve always loved to write and this blog is actually kind of therapeutic to me. It’s nice to be able to write out my experiences and feelings. My original purpose in starting it was to see if anyone would be interested in reading my writing. It’s been a long time dream of mine to write a book but I wondered if anyone would read it. I wanted to see how I did in the blog world first!

6. what did you want to be as a kid?

An actress, lol, of course!! 😉

7. who would play you in a movie about your life? (in your dreams)

Gosh, that’s a hard one! Maybe Sandra Bullock.

8. name 5 really great musicians or bands.

Oh wow, that’s like choosing which guy to have sex with!! 😉 LOL I love so many different musicians and bands, of various genres, though overall RnB is my favorite. More old school than the newer stuff though. Hmmmmm…. okay, how about Tom Petty, R. Kelly, the Isley Brothers, Anthony Hamilton and Jodeci. LOL

9. do you ever get jealous?

Yes, see my blog post on the Evolution of Jealousy for that one!!

10. do you believe in love that lasts forever?

You know, I believe love, as in caring for another person can last forever. Just like you love your kids and your siblings forever and your parents if you are a person who had parents who cared about you (I really didn’t). As for romantic love, I think the “romantic” part probably only lasts a few years. Then, it’s a different kind of love that isn’t as exciting. It can change to a caring love or sometimes it fades away.

11. anything odd that turns you on?

Odd? Probably not, but I’m not sure. I think most of the things that turn me on are probably pretty typical. I like guys that are really confident, dominant but not mean. I think I’m pretty normal in that regard. I like spankings and a little rough play but it seems that’s common.
